22/08/202420 students of the Faculty of Education participated in the qualitative course held by the Syrian Commission for Family Affairs and Population for training on its psychosocial support manual, and the course lasted for eight days. President of Al-Baath University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, pointed to the importance of such courses in activating the role of the family and woman, protecting children, solving psychological and social problems, and raising awareness of the concept of participation and social role. He also indicated to the necessity of qualifying young people and university graduates to link theoretical life with practical aspects. In turn, Eng. Samar Al Sibai, President of the Syrian Commission for Family Affairs and Population , referred that the course included a detailed explanation of the psychosocial support manual that was prepared by the commission and approved by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. In turn, Mudar Al Sibai, Director of the UNICEF Office, stressed the importance of psychosocial support for the Syrian community and the importance of training young people and investing their energies to prepare a youth society capable of making change and progress socially and psychologically. Prof. Fayez Yazbek, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Al-Baath University, has pointed out the importance of the manual lies in the fact that it is suitable for the specificity of Syrian society in the recovery phase and for the training of an integrated team capable of intervening in emergency situations.
