Direct admission for holders of general secondary education certificate

Departments of foreign languages

  1. Syrian and non-Syrian students holding a non-Syrian general secondary certificate are entitled to register in the departments of foreign languages that are consistent with the language of their granted certificates, provided that the Syrian student has obtained the general secondary certificate and that the non-Syrian student has obtained the general secondary certificate in the year of admission and the previous one,as the average shall not be less than 50% .
  2. Syrian students are asked to pay the parallel education fees if their grades are not entitled them to enter the equivalent major.
  3. Arab and foreign students are asked to pay the same fees of students admitted to the sorting of university admission eligibility for Arabs and foreigners.

Children of holders of “Hero of Syria” award

  1. are admitted to the faculty, department or institute they want, according to the type of secondary school certificate

Holders of Sharia secondary school certificate

  1. are directly admitted to the faculties of Sharia at the universities of Damascus and Aleppo, according to the conditions of the announcement issued by the concerned authority.
  2. They are directly admitted to the Intermediate Institute of Sharia and Arabic sciences or selcted by special admission sorting.
  3. Students admitted to the faculties of Sharia and the Intermediate Institute of Sharia and Arabic Sciences are not entitled to apply for the general admission sorting.

Holders of vocational secondary certificate

  1. Syrian holders of vocational secondary certificate and those of equivalent status are admitted to the related faculties in the same year at a certain percentage for each secondary school.
  2. The ranking of the top students is based on the first and second sessions , after subtracting the grades of the subjects of Religious Education and Foreign Language.
