President of Al Baath University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, reviewed, during the twentieth session of the council, the most important points of the workshop launched by the higher education minister in cooperation with the education ministry. In addition, he pointed to the national plan for transforming education and building capacities to develop the capacities of Syrian youth and meet the labour market needs.
The Council specified the dates of the postponed exams from 19/7/2023 to 13/8/2023 and the exams from 20/7/2023 to 14/8/2023 at the same time and place.It has also set the starting date of open education exams (second semester) on 08/20/2023. Prof. Al Khatib stressed the need to ensure all the requirements and adequate conditions for the smooth running of the exams.
He congratulated Prof. Nidal Sattouf for his appointment as a vice-president for administrative and student affairs and the newly elected leadership of the university branch of the National Union of Syrian Students.
The Council reviewed the process of examinations in the faculties.The university president has pointed out that the examinations are going well without any problems and indicated that the university has ensured all the requirements, stressing that the deans of the faculties as well as their deputies make periodic visits to the examination halls to monitor the progress of the examinations. Moreover, he called for issuing the results of the exams and posting them immediately on the electronic website of each faculty.
The council also discussed a number of academic and administrative scientific issues on its agenda and took appropriate decisions.
