Academic training course at the Faculty of Music Education, Al-Baath University

An academic training course entitled “The principles of scientific research in music education and the publication mechanism” was opened for the teachers at the Faculty of Music Education, to prepare academic teachers familiar with all developments in musical sciences and able to document and publish scientific researches in international journals.

The university vice-president for scientific affairs, Prof. Maan Salameh, indicated to the importance of organizing such courses in developing the expertise of the faculty members, especially that Al-Baath University is the only university that has a Faculty of Music Education and that a growing number of students register in the faculty at the beginning of each academic year. He also pointed out that it is necessary for the music teacher to be equipped with a high artistic culture and be familiar with all international academic developments.

The dean of the Faculty of Music Education, Prof. Bassam Kseibi, has also highlighted the importance of this course. In addition, Prof. Marlin Ibrahim and the trainer Rami Darwish indicated the need to publish scientific researches in international journals with respecting publication conditions and documentation mechanisms.

The course lasts five days from the 26th to the 30th of the current month.

Prof. Adnan Al Sheikh Hammoud, the member of the leadership of the Baath Party branch at the university, and Prof. Abdul Razzak Al Soufi, the head of teachers’ syndicate at the university, attended the opening ceremony.
