Al Baath University Council holds its twelfth session for the academic year 2022-2023

20/03/2023Faculty of Health Sciences has held 6 training courses over the past two months for continuing education in the field of physical therapy. Courses titles: Schroth technique for the treatment of scoliosis, physical therapy for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, practical applications for scoliosis assessment, headache physical therapy, bobath technique for treating children with cerebral palsy, and physical therapy for vestibular vertigo.
President of Al Baath University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, confirmed that the university provides full support for organizing such training courses that help in solidifying educational ideas and academic information to achieve the university’s mission and purpose in serving society.
Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Hazem Dahman, stressed the importance of holding these training sessions which support the development of the faculty, indicating that it always seeks to improve the graduate level and to organize training courses and workshops for continuing education in this specialty.
The faculty vice-dean for scientific affairs and the supervisor of these six training sessions, Prof.Saleh Ghazi,confirmed that the number of trainees is 80 trainees, and that the training courses aim to introduce trainees and the community to the role of physiotherapy in the treatment of certain diseases or new problems such as temporomandibular joint disorder, headache, scoliosis, and vestibular vertigo.
