393 students took the unified architectural exam ( second session 2023) conducted by the National Commission for Quality Assurance and Accreditation for the fifth year students wishing to apply for postgraduate studies at the faculties of architecture in public and private universities.
President of Al Baath University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, confirmed during his observation tour that the second session included a four-hour practical exam with 75% marks in the field of architectural design, indicating that the first session included an one-hour written with 100 % marks, in addition to a two-hour practical exam with 25% marks in the field of planning.
Prof. Al Khatib explained that about 393 students from public and private universities took the exam at Al Baath University center; 294 students from Al Baath University and 99 students from other public and private universities and non-Syrian universities. The student is considered successful if he obtains a mark of 50 percent, and this mark is considered a condition for graduation. The student benefits from from examination assistance of only two marks.To apply for the postgraduate studies, the applicant must have a mark of 60%.
The member of party leadership at the university branch, Prof.Imad Massouh, the university vice-presidents, Prof. Maan Salameh and Prof. Nidal Sattouf, and the dean of the Faculty of Architecture participated in the inspection tour.
