26/10/2023President of Al Baath University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, and the secretary of B.A.S.P branch at the university, Prof. Fayeq Shadood, inspected the unified architectural exam conducted by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation for the fifth-year students wishing to apply for postgraduate studies at the faculties of architecture in public and private universities and non-Syrian universities.
Prof. Al Khatib and Prof. Shadood emphasized that the exam is conducted in two sessions; the first session includes one hour written exam with multiple-choice questions, the second session is four hour practical exam in the field of architectural design.
Prof. Al Khatib indicated that all students taking the exam completed all courses in public universities or credit hours in private universities for the year 2023 and earlier, or only had four courses or 12 credit hours. He also indicated that students from non-Syrian universities sat the exam for the equivalency of their certificates and practice of the profession, and that the number of applicants at Al Baath University center reached about (426) students from public, private and non-Syrian universities, (300) from Al Baath University students, and (126) from the rest of the private and non-Syrian universities.
The applicant must get 50% marks to pass the exam, and this mark is considered a condition for graduation. The student benefits from examination assistance of only two marks. To apply for the postgraduate studies, the applicant must have a mark of 60%.
