During the fifteenth session of the university council, the university president, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, congratulated Prof. Muhammad Al Masri for his appointment as vice president for open education affairs and wished him success in his duties.
President Bashar al-Assad issued decree No. 85 of 2024 appointing Prof. Muhammad Mahmoud Al Masri a university vice president for open education affairs for two years.
The council reviewed the process of unified sorting of university admission eligibility – filling vacancies (postgraduate studies – Syrian board) for the graduates of medical faculties for the academic year 2023-2024, as it lasts till 30 April 2024 at the central laboratory in the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
Prof. Al Khatib also emphasized the necessity of issuing exam results without delay and posting them immediately on the faculty websites, together with addressing the low success rates and forming committees to evaluate the examination process.
