A joint scientific cooperation agreement between Al Baath University and the North Caucasus Federal University

A delegation from Al Baath University, headed by the university president, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, met the President of the North Caucasus Federal University with the aim of signing a joint scientific cooperation agreement between the two universities.

The delegation of Al Baath University discussed with its Russian counterpart the ways to promot scientific and cultural cooperation and develop academic scientific research between the two sides.

Prof. Al Khatib pointed to the importance of the Syrian-Russian relations at the educational, research and cultural levels. In addition, he praised the scientific level of Russian universities which have graduated many scientific cadres, calling for redoubling efforts to conduct joint scientific research, especially in the fields of oil, gas and food engineering, as Al Baath University is the only Syrian university that has a Faculty of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering .

At the end of the meeting, a joint scientific cooperation agreement was signed between the two universities.

The meeting was attended by the university Vice-President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Maen Salameh, Al Baath University Secretary, Prof. Mahmoud Hadid, and the Director of Cultural and International Relations Department, Miss. Rwanda Al Durra. As for the Russian side, the meeting was attended by the Vice President of North Caucasus Federal University for Scientific Research Affairs, Directorate of International Relations at the University, Head of International Cooperation Projects at the University, Director of the Oil and Gas Research Center and Dean of the Faculty of Food Engineering.
