A joint scientific cooperation agreement between Al Baath University and the North Caucasus Federal University

01/12/2022A delegation from Al Baath University, headed by Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib , President of the University, participated in the first Russian-Syrian Youth Forum organized by the University of the North Caucasus in Russia.
Prof. Al Khatib indicated to the importance of this forum in promoting dialogue and discussing scientific and research issues between Syrian and Russian youth, as young people play an important role in positive change if they have the opportunity to contribute to the development process and community service.
He also pointed out that 25 Syrian students participate in this forum within the framework of consolidating the scientific and cultural relations that link between Syria and Russia. in addition, that helps in activating the role of youth in various segments and at all levels to come up with ideas that can develop prospects and methods of work in the institutions of the two countries. Moreover, Prof. Al Khatib pointed out that Al Baath University has an advanced cultural program with the Russian Federation that is decades old, and that the program needs continuous development in line with new conditions and technologies, especially in the fields of oil and gas since Al Baath University is the only one that has a Faculty of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering .
Prof. Al Khatib thanked the Russian side for that kind invitation to visit Russia, which has refleced the willingness of the two countries and peoples to consolidate and strengthen historical relations through continuing consultations, meetings and bilateral meetings at all levels.
The forum was attended by the university vice president for scientific affairs, Prof. Maan Salameh, the university secretary, Prof. Mahmoud Hadid, the director of cultural and international relations at the university, Miss Rwanda Al-Durra, and delegations from the participating Syrian universities.
