During the eighth session of the University Council, President of Al-Baath University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al-Khatib, congratulated the educational and academic staff and all university employees on the occasion of Christmas and New Year. He also congratulated the National Union of Syrian Students on the Law No. (1) issued by President Bashar Al-Assad, stipulating the organisation of the work of the National Union of Syrian Students as a popular student organization that enjoys legal personality as well as financial and administrative independence.
In addition, the council reviewed the university preparations for the first semester theoretical exams and stressed the importance of providing all exam requirements in faculties and institutes. The university president pointed out the need to accelerate the issuance of theoretical exam programs for those faculties that have not yet announced them, taking into account the need to issue the results of practical exams before the start of the theoretical exams.
Moreover, the council reviewed the unified admission sorting for graduates of the faculties of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy as well as the admission sorting for master’s degree for the faculties of nursing, informatics engineering, architecture and the higher institute of planning at Al-Baath University. Registration lasts until 01/23/2024 in the faculties of informatics engineering and civil engineering.
Finally, the council discussed some scientific, academic and administrative subjects included on its agenda to make the appropriate decisions.
