07/11/2024The university president, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, and the secretary of B.A.S.P branch at the university, Prof. Fayeq Shadood, inspected the unified informatics engineering exam (second session) conducted by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation for fifth-year students (under graduation) at the faculties of informatics engineering (software-networks-artificial intelligence) in public and private universities and graduates of non-Syrian universities and students wishing to apply for postgraduate studies. Prof. Al Khatib indicated that the number of applicants for the exam reached about 558 students; 361 students from Al-Baath University and 197 students from private universities and other universities. He also pointed out that the two-hour exam for students wishing to graduate included 50 questions in artificial intelligence, software engineering, and networks, in addition to 25 questions from common themes. The student must have an average of 50% for graduation and the student receives two points of exam assistance, while the condition to enroll in graduate studies is to have an average of 60% in the exam. The university vice-president for scientific affairs, Prof. Maan Salameh, and the deanship of the faculty of informatics engineering, participated in the observation tour.
