22/08/2024B.01 Fine-Tuning Apra’s Code for the 7700-th Time team from Aleppo University won the first place in the Syrian Collegiate Programming Contest hosted by Al-Baath University, Megawatt team from Aleppo University won second place and Loveshie or Chocolate team from Damascus University ranked third. Two teams won the silver medal: A contest a day keeps the girlfriend away team from the Syrian Virtual University in the fourth place and Give up your dream from Damascus University in the fifth place. Four teams also won the bronze medal: The last shot team and Up Jawad in Japan team from Damascus University, fifth and sixth respectively. Blind power team from the Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology ranked eighth and What the luck team ranked ninth. In addition, three teams from Al-Baath University are qualified to participate in the Arab Collegiate Programming Contest. President of Al-Baath University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, congratulated the winning and qualified teams to participate in the African and Arab Countries Championship, wishing them excellence and success. Prof. Fadi Murshed, the director of the university programming contest in Syria, also congratulated the winning teams and praised their great achievement which deserves all appreciation and respect . 14 teams from Syrian universities were qualified to participate in the programming contest which will be held in Egypt . The closing ceremony was attended by the secretary of B.A.S.P branch at the university, Prof. Fayeq Shadood, the member of party leadership at the university branch, Mr.Jaber Al Istanbouli, Ali Hamada, Head of the Student Union Branch at Al-Baath University, regional coordinators of the contest, and the vice presidents of the Syrian universities.
