President of Al Baath University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, and the secretary of B.A.S.P branch at the university, Prof. Fayeq Shadood, inspected the second session of the national unified medical exam conducted by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation for the sixth-year students wishing to take the competitive entrance examination for higher studies at the faculties of medicine in the public and private Syrian and non- Syrian universities.
Prof. Al Khatib indicated that the second session of the exam included /120/ questions in the fields of surgery, gynecology, obstetrics and eye and ear diseases, explaining that the number of candidates reached ( 609) students in Al Baath University center including (493) students from Al Baath University, (114) students from other Syrian universities and (2) students from non-Syrian universities.
It should be noted that the passing mark for the unified written medical examination for Syrian university students is 60%, the student receives two points of exam assistance.
Prof. Adnan Al Sheikh Hamoud, member of Al Baath Party leadership at the university, Prof. Nidal Sattouf and Prof. Maan Salameh, vice-presidents of the university and the dean of the Faculty of Medicine participated in the observation tour.
