During the first session of the university council, President of Al Baath University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, congratulated the new-assigned deans and wished them success in performing their tasks,
as the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Bassam Ibrahim, assigning a number of faculty members to scientific administrative positions for a period of two years. The new formation of deans at the university included 7 new deans and 14 deputy deans.
Prof. Al Khatib also congratulated the university students, the educational and academic staff, and all university employees on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2023-2024, wishing a year full of hard work, perseverance, and activity, calling on the teaching staff and students to continue scientific contributions and intensify efforts for developing the horizons of scientific research and knowledge at the university.
He also congratulated all the university employees on job motivation system approved by the central committee for incentives, promotion allowance and rewards for employees at the university.
The Council reviewed the progress of work at the support and guidance centers for general, parallel, and private admission sorting for the academic year 2023-2024, noting that the submission of applications is electronic and and remote from any personal computer or mobile phone and lasts until Sunday, the 8th of next October.
