A doctoral dissertation entitled” Improving the performance of high capacity coherent optical systems” was discussed by the researcher Raghad Muhammad Fayez Al alfi at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Abdul Karim Al salem.
The judging panel comprised the following professors: Prof. Abdul Karim Al salem, Prof. Ali Taha, Prof. Abdullah Ghandour, Prof. Majd Al Din Al ali and Prof. Muhmmad Nasser

At the end of the discussion, the researcher Raghad Muhammad Fayez Al alfi was awarded a doctoral degree in communication engineering with distinction and a mark 92%.
